“Sasha M might not be a household name in Singapore, but that might just change”
– Bandwagon
Fun and just a little sassy, Sasha’s songs are set to make you move. Having tasted the big stage with Tchami (FR) at Ultra Music Festival, and performed with THELIONCITYBOY (SG) and Jack & Rai (SG), Sasha is keen to bring her own original dance-pop tunes to the crowd.
Her first original song ‘Loaded’, a collaboration with a German producer, peaked at #2 on the Spotify Germany Viral 50 charts, with an acoustic version played on radio station 938Now. She is featured as an artist on the Feed Your Ambition reality production by the National Council Against Drug Abuse. She has co-written with writers and producers from Los Angeles to parts of Europe, and is currently putting together material for her first EP/album.
Sasha’s acting and performance credits include short film ‘Virtually Innocent’ by Studio Rarekind and Moore’s Lore Productions, as well as Universal Studios Singapore, National Museum of Singapore, HBO Asia’s Invisible Stories, and the American HBO drama series Westworld.

Sasha started out in the world of performing with dance. At the age of 10, she started dancing in an ethnic dance group as a hobby in school, and has continued dancing and learning different forms of dance ever since. Sasha is trained in various styles of hip-hop, as well as Oriental bellydance.
Aside from dancing, Sasha has always been keenly interested in acting. She was active in theatre productions all throughout her school years, and took up theatre studies. She still occasionally takes acting courses at a professional acting school.
Her journey in music began at the age of 17 when Sasha became interested in a cappella singing. Before long, she was singing with a cappella groups for Christmas parties, corporate events, and school shows all across Singapore, singing pop, jazz and choral arrangements. She also joined several rock bands and started writing her own music.
In 2014, Sasha joined an international performing arts competition in Hollywood, Los Angeles, winning Best Vocal Group with her vocal trio and beating competitors from all over the world. She also clinched a gold award for her original songwriting.
Since 2016, Sasha has been working independently, writing music as a solo artist, collaborating with producers around the world and crafting her own sound. She wants to make “pop songs that you can dance to”, just like the kind of music she herself enjoys.
In May 2018, a collaborative track between herself and German producer Hasso peaked at #2 on the Spotify Germany Viral 50 Charts. She recorded an acoustic version of the song, Loaded, for her first original release. 2018 was also a good year for Sasha as a performer, as she was handpicked to perform as a solo tribal bellydancer for Universal Studios Singapore’s Halloween Horror Nights 8, and also selected as a voice actor for the National Museum of Singapore’s 131st Anniversary programme, #FacetimeWithHistory.
Sasha looks forward to more exciting adventures, as well as greater progress as an artist, in 2019. Be sure to watch her!
