It’s been a really exciting first quarter of the year, with interesting performances you might have seen if you’re following my Instagram, but one of these things has been the most interesting and hence the focus of my post now. That is, livestreaming on UpLive.
As some of you know, I usually perform at private events which means I don’t have many opportunities for people to come watch me perform. But now, it’s so much easier for people to hear me sing, because they can just log in on their phones and watch from wherever they are, and even send messages or interact in other ways. It’s really fun and interesting!
I started livestreaming mid March, singing and occasionally trying to accompany myself on piano. I’m doing what UpLive calls “virtual busking”, so instead of being in a mall or outdoors at a crowded area, I sing from home. So far it’s been great, and the viewers I get have been friendly and supportive. I’ve also been getting viewers from other countries aside from Singapore, like the US, Canada, Indonesia, Malaysia etc.
Since it’s been going well, I’ll be continuing to livestream and build a new audience on the platform. If you guys would like to hear me sing, I encourage you to get the UpLive app and follow me at sasashamusic. You can also check out loads of other livestreamers from other countries even, there’s always an interesting stream to watch!
Also, if you’re a musician or singer or artist and have something to perform or showcase in a livestream, let me know! I’ll help you get started with your own livestream channel 🙂 It would be my pleasure to help more local talent get noticed!
